Work Package 3 : Cultural heritage mapping and monitoring

WP3 aims to modify, adapt, and improve the strategies to efficiently implement non-destructive geoinformatic mapping methods to reconstruct the cultural dynamics of past human activity in coastal and ultra-shallow aquatic environments in the eastern Mediterranean.

Key Objectives:

– Development of processing flowcharts of diverse geophysical datasets to enhance geophysical images of subsurface structures.

– Compilation of geophysical maps describing the spatial variation of the physical properties below the surface in different depth layers.

– Aerial and satellite imagery analysis for the detection of archaeological proxies.

– GIS analysis and changes over archaeolandscapes in coastal zones
