The project consists of strong research collaborations between the private sector and academia, allowing the individual researchers to participate in different scientific fields and research backgrounds, integrate their knowledge, and follow practical expertise. This blending will enable the consortium to develop integrated approaches for the following R&I activities.
R&I activity 1: cultural heritage mapping and monitoring based on geophysical prospections, aerial, and satellite-based investigations.
R&I activity 2: environmental mapping and monitoring by studying environmental changes in the selected case studies through ground-based investigations and analysis.
R&I activity 3: geospatial risk assessment of coastal zones based on geostatistical analysis of risks in the selected coastal areas.
R&I activity 4: developing a web platform through WebGIS technologies for visualization, mapping, and managing the coastal zones’ activities, heritage, and environmental points of interest effectively.
