Her visit focuses on exploring the coastal history and environmental background of Margherita di Savoia (Puglia). Through a comprehensive literature review, she is gathering existing historical and regional studies to better understand how this coastline has evolved over time. 🏖️🔍
Her research investigates key factors such as: 🧂 Human activities, including the famous local salt pans 🌊 River sediment flow from the Ofanto River 🌱 Natural coastal erosion processes 📖 Historical and environmental changes across the region
This literature overview will help connect historical context with modern coastal management objectives within the COASTLINE Platform, supporting the project’s broader mission of safeguarding coastal environments and cultural heritage. 🌍🏛️
