We’re excited to announce that Marco Santoro from the Cyprus University of Technology is joining AegeanSolutions as part of the COASTLINE project secondment programme! 🌍🔬
Over the next months, Marco will contribute to several key activities across the project’s research and technological development work packages:
🔹 Within WP4, Marco will work on the analysis of coastal evolution and shoreline change trends, helping to better understand how coastlines transform over time under natural and anthropogenic pressures 🌊📈.
🔹 He will also investigate the combined impacts of multiple pressures on vulnerable coastal ecosystems, supporting the development of scientific insights that can guide sustainable coastal management 🌱🌍.
🔹 As part of WP6, Marco will contribute to the architectural design of the COASTLINE WebGIS platform, focusing on how geospatial data can be structured, integrated, and accessed effectively 🗺️💻.
🔹 He will also support the development of the first edition of the COASTLINE WebGIS Platform, helping translate scientific outputs into practical digital tools for coastal monitoring and decision-making 🔧🌐.
This secondment highlights the importance of collaboration between academia and industry, strengthening the bridge between cutting-edge research and real-world technological solutions for coastal resilience 🌎🤝.
We look forward to the insights and innovations that will emerge from Marco’s work during this exciting exchange! 🚀
