As part of WP6 – COASTLINE Platform, Konstantakis Giorgos from Aegean Solutions S.A. successfully completed a secondment at the Cyprus University of Technology (15 October – 14 November 2025), contributing to Task 6.1: WebGIS COASTLINE Platform – Research and Design.
During this period, he worked on the conceptual and technical design of the WebGIS COASTLINE Platform, applying key principles of modern web application development. His research focused on three core areas:
- Data Analysis – reviewing, classifying, and structuring datasets to define the platform’s architecture and appropriate geospatial visualization methods. 📊
- User and Requirements Analysis – identifying stakeholder needs and translating them into actionable system requirements. 👥
- Technology Analysis – evaluating commercial and open-source WebGIS technologies with particular attention to interoperability, security, and accessibility. 🔍💻
This collaborative effort highlights the important role of both the Cyprus University of Technology and Aegean Solutions S.A. in advancing digital innovation for coastal zone management. For Giorgos, the secondment provided a valuable opportunity to deepen his expertise and engage closely with a research environment that supported both professional development and meaningful scientific exchange. 🌟
