On 17-18 January 2024, the kick-off meeting for the inauguration of the Coastal Zone Environment and Geo-Sciences project (COASTLINE), which is coordinated by the Department of Civil Engineering and Geoinformatics of the Cyprus University of Technology, took place at the premises of CUT.
The COASTLINE project fosters international collaboration for innovative research on monitoring coastal environments. It aims to develop new methods for analyzing European coastal zones using geoscience, remote sensors, and spatial statistics. Academia, research, and business partners unite to share knowledge and infrastructure, enhancing methodologies for satellite observations, geophysical surveys, and GIS.
This is four-year (48 months) project funded by the European Union Structural Funds and national resources, amounting to 634.800 euros, within the Horizon Europe call (HORIZON-MSCA-2022-SE-01-01) and is expected to be completed at the end of 2027. #COASTLINE #MSCA #Science
